Hikido Sliding Wardrobe Doors with Colonial Bars, Duncraig

We’ve been supplying and installing sliding robe doors in Duncraig and surrounding areas for over 30 years.
A standard sliding wardrobe door is a flat panel that disappears into the room.
These don’t.
The colonial bars running across the face of each door divide the glass into three vertical sections, giving the wall a grid-like structure and a deliberate architectural presence. In this Duncraig bedroom, two doors in matt black aluminium with Birchback glass sit across the full width of the wardrobe opening. The frame is strong, the finish is sharp, and the doors read as a feature rather than a fitting.

These are Hikido sliding wardrobe doors. Each door is a single glass panel in a fully framed 90mm aluminium frame, with colonial bars fitted across the surface of the glass. The bars divide the face of each door into three vertical sections. They are mitred where they meet the frame, giving each door a clean, joinery-style finish.
The glass is Birchback: standard glass with a Birch colour applied to the back face, vinyl-backed for safety. From the front, you see the Birch colour through the glass surface. Unlike mirror glass, which reflects the room, Birchback presents as a coloured panel. In a bedroom, that distinction matters. The doors contribute warmth and visual weight without turning the wall into a mirror.
Glass options for Hikido doors include silver mirror, grey mirror, white back, bright back, black back, Birchback, and etched. Decorative board options in timber laminates are also available.
Frame finishes include bright silver, matt silver, matt black, matt gold/brass, white, and gun metal. Custom powder coat is available on request. This installation uses matt black throughout: frame, colonial bars, and track.
